State Parks | Wallis Sands State Beach | Rye, NH

Wallis Sands State Beach offers oceanfront swimming, views of the Isles of Shoals, and a sandy beach that families especially enjoy. Wallis Sands is a wonderful family beach! It's not too large and is bordered on both sides by a barrier of rocks. It has a waist high concrete wall separating the beach and bath house and lots of nearly pristine sand. A smaller beach, there is ample parking and the bath house has a diverse park store. A large grassy area between the beach and the parking lot is perfect for frisbee, volleyball or wiffleball!

Picnicking is welcome but fires are not allowed. Weekends can be quite crowded here: arrive early to get a good spot and be sure to enjoy the view of the Isles of Shoals! 

Beach amenities include a store, bathhouses, hot and cold showers, and lifeguards. Lifeguards are on duty from 9:00am to 5:00pm through Labor Day. The beach is open weekends from late May to mid-June and daily from mid-June through Labor Day. Admission to the park is $10 per car and $14.00 per RV.
